What is a Call To Action?
A call-to-action message consists of a short phrase on a button that appears on a website or app page. The button is asking the user to take a certain action, like “Subscribe Now,” “Download,” and “Contact Us”. CTA phrases usually appear in ad banners, buttons, or within the text of the sales materials.
CTA messages are usually simple messages. The brevity comes from the CTAs being incorporated into character limits within website buttons and, subsequently, search ad messaging. The character limit is from a design to make an ad fit in a webpage or social media stream, dictated by the underlying programming used to create an ad or social media post.
