Helicoptering, like a lot of issues people face, has a thin line between being appropriate versus inappropriate. Not every issue needs to be micromanaged, but some things do require guidance so that good behavior is set. We have a world where balancing the decision-making can be tricky to accomplish. I think parents will make the adjustment over time to know when intervention is not helpful.
