One big problem with what Sizovs did -- I don't think he understood that managing expectations behind the scenes is just as important as anything client or customer facing. People do get hurt, even when they are a series of innocent gaffs. But his attempt to have an imaginary profile to reflect the diversity he sought should have had real systems for incorporating women, POC, and LGBTQIA meaningfully into the conference, be it operations or, more to the point, presenting. Anytime you are signaling online about what you want, you should be at least working on a system to support that signal. He didn't - posting a tweet about life's work did not help his cause one bit.
